2021 Acura TLX A-Spec

Yesterday we got the opportunity to have a seat inside of the highly anticipated, all-new Acura TLX!

The 2021 TLX offers three different models; the A-Spec model, the Advanced model, and the Type S model arriving Spring of 2021. The new TLX is precision-engineered to deliver crisp handling with top-class road manners to truly represent a sport sedan.

The model we got to experience was the A-Spec model in Apex Blue Pearl. New exterior colors for the TLX include Platinum White Pearl, and Phantom Violet Pearl.

The 2021 A-Spec model has been completely re-engineered for a better performance-oriented drive. The new TLX is equipped with a double wishbone front suspension and a new braking system derived from the NSX.

The exterior of the A-Spec TLX features a sportier design with full-LED exterior lighting, an updated front grille outlined by Acura’s Jewel Eye headlights, darkened elements, a unique set of 19-inch wheels, and a rear spoiler inspired by the NSX.

The A-Spec TLX comes equipped with a 2.0-liter Turbo engine with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The NSX-derived Electro-Servo Brake System also enhances the performance of the vehicle.

2021 Acura TLX A-Spec Interior

The inside of the 2021 TLX further pushes the Sport Sedan narrative. The A-Spec features the red leather Acura Sport seats with black accents and stitching. The trim throughout the interior is genuine Aluminum adding a luxurious feel along with the sporty interior. The A-Spec model also gets a thick flat-bottom steering wheel wrapped in perforated leather with metal-plated paddle shifters behind it.

The front seat is comfortable and allows a nice amount of space between the driver and the passenger with easy access to the controls in the center console.

The HD-display, 10.2-inch infotainment display is mounted on top of the dashboard, similar to the layout in the RDX. The infotainment system is controlled through Acura’s True Touchpad Interface which is comfortably located on the center console.

The electronic shifter fits right onto the upper half of the center console, out of the way of the controls on the center console.

Convenience and entertainment features inside of the new TLX include 12-way power adjustable seats with driver-position memory, heated and ventilated front seats, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, Acura’s 3D navigation system, and 24-color LED ambient interior lighting system.

The Advanced Package TLX adds a surround view camera system, a heated steering wheel, authentic Open-Pore wood trim, and a 10.5-inch Heads Up display.

The TLX A-Spec and Advanced can be expected to begin arriving in dealerships very soon and the Type S model will be available Spring 2021.
