Acura will throw it back to the '90s this weekend with the debut of a restored and reimagined 1997 Acura SLX – the brand’s first SUV and first AWD vehicle – at the RADwood Car Show in Orange County on Saturday, Dec. 7. Built specifically for RADwood, the SLX’s original 3.2L V6, 4-speed automatic and conventional 4x4 drivetrain were swapped out for Acura’s latest and greatest performance technology – a 350-horsepower, race-tuned 2.0-liter VTEC® Turbo, 10-speed automatic transmission and the 4th generation of Acura’s torque-vectoring Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive™ (SH-AWD®) system

Handcrafted Acura MDX PMC Edition to Debut at AutoMobility LA

Leveraging the advanced technology and human craftsmanship of Acura’s bespoke supercar factory, the 2020 Acura MDX PMC Edition will make its debut on Nov. 20, at AutoMobility LA. Covered in lustrous, PMC-exclusive Valencia Red Pearl paint, the MDX PMC Edition is the latest limited edition vehicle from Acura’s Performance Manufacturing Center (PMC) in Marysville, Ohio, joining the 2020 TLX PMC Edition. Hand-assembled by the same master technicians who build the NSX supercar, the 2020 MDX PMC Edition will launch early next year with just 300 vehicles built for the U.S. market.

Acura RLX and MDX Named Among "25 Safest Luxury Cars of 2019"

Acura's range-topping luxury performance sedan, the  RLX, and America's all-time best-selling three-row luxury SUV1, the MDX, have been named to U.S. News & World Report's list of "25 Safest Luxury Cars of 2019."  
 
For inclusion of this year's list of "25 Safest Luxury Cars," the criteria U.S. News & World Report used included the safety ratings from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), each vehicle's standard and optional safety features, and the vehicle's overall U.S. News Score.

Acura Engineers Field Four Homegrown Entries at Pikes Peak

Acura will campaign the largest collection of competitive entries in the brand’s history in the 97th running of The Broadmoor Pikes Peak International Hill Climb on June 30. Acura is distinct from its competition in taking on the "Race to the Clouds" with hand-built, homegrown cars crewed exclusively by in-house engineers. Four production-based Acura models will challenge the field across multiple race classes, piloted by four full-time engineers who work in Acura product development in Ohio.

Acura Sales Up 6% in March

Sales Highlights
Acura sales continued strong momentum with its best March sales in five years, rising 6.4% as the brand completed a strong first quarter. Driving the gains were ILX, up more than 40%, and RDX, which set a new March record.
  • ILX jumped 41.3% on sales of 1,289 units, while TLX sales of 3,141 marked its best month since March 2018.
  • RDX sales increased 32.7% in March, on the way to setting a 10th consecutive monthly record on sales of 5,835 vehicles.
